There is nothing going for this article.  It’s in a non-English language, it covers an utterly ridiculous topic, it does not enrich your life in any way, shape or form….but this article has received some serious traffic!

The question is, why has this article received so much traffic? Do people just love toilet humor? Has there been a void on the internet for crazy toilets that has only just been recognised?

In the interests of keeping this entire experiment transparent, I would like to share with you the winning bid.  Keep in mind, this is the winning bid for 7 full days of exclusive advertising, starting on Sunday at midnight. As an aside – there have been a couple of comments from visitors and peers lately, questioning the motives of One Million Hit Wonder.  I must stress, this is an experiment, in which the primary objective is to achieve the end goal, of attracting 1 million unique visitors to this site per week.  This is the first and foremost reason for this site’s existence, it is not simply another ‘gimmicky’ built with dollar signs in mind.  Sure, everyone loves making a few pennies along the way, I’d be lying if I didn’t say revenue doesn’t interest me, but I’m also a firm believer in sharing not only this experience with the public, but also some of the revenue.

Thus, if in the case that I do make any significant revenue from this site, I have selected Virgin Unite as my charity of choice, and a portion of this revenue will go directly to this very worthy cause.

All in all, I’m quite happy with the design of this tee. Despite being a rather simple, it has a raw and slightly tongue-in-cheek feel to it.  As you have probably guessed, the phrase “one hit wonder”, best used to describe the dodgy bands who fluked it into the ‘top 40′ music charts back in the 60′s and 70′s, was my inspiration for this website, so I wanted the One Million Hit Wonder t-shirt design to reflect this.
